Senior Software Engineer - Java/Microservices

Tenable, the Exposure Management company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Java/Microservices for an IT position based in the USA. This senior-level role offers a salary of $137,500 and focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based search solutions and microservices for a global customer base.

Core Responsibilities for the Java/Microservices IT Role

As part of the core product engineering team, you will build the reliable infrastructure that powers the platform's data ecosystem. Your day-to-day work will involve managing data ingestion, storage, querying, and retrieval at scale, alongside architecting and implementing features to drive the platform's overall architecture. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to innovate global cloud architecture and distributed systems, while also supporting and mentoring peers.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a directly related field, or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of software development experience in enterprise development
• Experience in distributed, microservice architecture
• Experience in database performance tuning, schema design, and query optimization within a distributed microservice environment
• Experience developing in Java or Kotlin, with a willingness to learn new languages
• Experience working in a containerized microservice architecture in Kubernetes
