EDB is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager for sales in the USA to build and maintain post-sales relationships with its largest and most complex accounts adopting Postgres and AI solutions. In this senior-level role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, serving as the primary point of contact into all technical areas of EDB to help customers maximize their technology investments, drive successful outcomes, and ensure high satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
- Establish close working relationships with customer senior technical leadership teams to provide solutions consulting, architecture guidance, and project management.
- Assist customers in developing, deploying, and supporting major Postgres initiatives and strategies.
- Maintain functional and technical knowledge of the entire EDB product line while functioning as a front-line resource for best practices and informal technical questions.
- Provide clear product feedback to internal product management teams based on customer requirements and help document deployment best practices.
- Travel up to 25% of the time as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical training/industry experience (Bachelor's also considered).
- At least 5+ years (specifically 6+ years noted in hands-on experience) working with Postgres, Oracle, DB2, or MS SQL Server, with professional database certifications being desirable.
- Advanced technical skills encompassing data management platforms, operating systems, cloud technologies, technical architecture, Kubernetes, and knowledge of data analytics and AI/ML concepts.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with CxO-level personnel and understand strategic sales processes.
