Software Engineer (All Levels)

Fieldguide is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to join our IT team in the USA. As a remote-first company headquartered in San Francisco, CA, we are redefining trust in global commerce by modernizing how cybersecurity, privacy, and financial audits are conducted. We build software that empowers practitioners to deliver faster, higher-quality results by automating legacy workflows.

Software Engineer Responsibilities

Depending on your background and interests, you may contribute as a mid-level engineer, take on team leadership, or drive technical strategy across systems. Your day-to-day work will involve the following:

• Design, build, and deliver high-quality features that drive customer and business impact
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design to turn complex problems into user-focused solutions
• Balance iteration speed with long-term maintainability and system health
• Continuously improve our tech stack, developer workflows, and reliability practices

Candidate Qualifications

To qualify for this Software Engineer position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education required: Bachelor’s degree
• Experience required: 5+ years of professional experience
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production code
• Familiarity with modern web technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, and GraphQL

The salary for this position is market competitive. While we are a remote-first team open to candidates anywhere in the US, Bay Area-based employees work in a hybrid setting.
