Staff DevOps Engineer (Platform) IT Job in Europe and USA
Phantom is seeking a remote Staff DevOps Engineer (Platform) based in the US, EU, or UK to join our fully remote team of around 180 people. Backed by a $150M Series C investment from a16z, Sequoia Capital, and Paradigm, Phantom builds a self-custodial platform that connects tens of millions of users worldwide to open markets, stablecoins, and prediction markets.
Core Responsibilities
- Own and evolve CI/CD infrastructure using Kubernetes and GitHub Actions to support reliability and developer velocity.
- Automate mobile release workflows, managing app store submissions, binary distribution, and signing for iOS, Android, and Chrome.
- Oversee automated end-to-end testing with Playwright and Maestro across web and mobile.
- Improve pipeline observability and performance while partnering with engineering teams on preview environments and developer tooling like Appetize.
- Ensure deployment, build, and release systems meet financial product security and compliance standards.
Requirements and Background
- 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field at a senior or staff level.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong background in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi, and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- Experience supporting production mobile application release infrastructure for Android and iOS.
- Background working in fintech, financial services, or other security- and compliance-driven environments.
- Familiarity with React Native, Expo, mobile preview environments, Appetize, or blockchain and crypto is considered a nice-to-have.
