Azure Infrastructure Engineer in Köln

GRÜNE'S LEIHHÄUSER GmbH & Co. KG is looking for an entry-level Azure Infrastructure Engineer (m/w/d) for their office in Cologne. In this full-time IT role, you will help drive the transition from an on-premises setup to a modern, scalable Microsoft cloud environment. The position can also be based in Frankfurt, and offers a hybrid working model following the initial onboarding period.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan, operate, and optimize the Azure platform and overall cloud architecture
• Manage and develop Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
• Implement security policies, identity protection, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Defender
• Administer identities, roles, groups, and authentication processes
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks
• Monitor the Azure environment, analyze performance metrics, and handle capacity planning
• Collaborate on cloud projects and assist leadership with infrastructure and security topics

Requirements

Candidates should have a completed degree (such as a Bachelor's) or relevant vocational training like Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration, paired with 0 to 2 years of experience in the Microsoft cloud environment. You will need familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, PowerShell, and Terraform, alongside Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, and SC-300. Very good German language skills at a B2 level are required for communication.
