Getpress GmbH, one of Germany's fastest-growing PR agencies based in Berlin, is looking for a Backend Engineer - Agentic AI (m/w/d) to join its IT team. With a growing team working with clients like Trivago, Komoot, and AutoScout24, Getpress is transforming into a Service-as-a-Software company by developing its own AI agent platform using LangGraph, PostgreSQL, and Next.js.
Role and Responsibilities
- Fullstack development of the PR platform designed to serve as the agency's operating system.
- Building end-to-end AI agent systems with self-learning loops and multi-agent orchestration for daily use by consultants.
- Shaping system architecture, workflows, data models, interfaces, compliance, and the tech stack including PostgreSQL, Next.js, LangGraph, and Docker.
- Advancing database architecture, covering both relational and vector databases.
Requirements
- Over 3 years of software development experience, with a required tech stack covering TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, Git, LangGraph, and GitHub.
- Experience building backend systems using frameworks such as FastAPI, Spring Boot, or NestJS, alongside common programming languages like Java, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with container-based and cloud-native architectures including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or similar.
- Over 1 year of experience developing AI agents and components like memory, context engineering, retrieval, and orchestration using frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, or LangGraph.
- Language proficiency: B2-level German minimum, with motivation to reach C1 during the first year (C1 is a plus).
