Cybersecurity (Senior) Software Engineer (m/w/d)

Trusteq GmbH is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Senior Software Engineer for an IT role based in München. This senior-level position requires a Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of professional experience (or 2 to 5 years specifically for the Senior Engineer level) in the IT security or software development field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop secure software and infrastructure solutions while integrating security-by-design principles into development and deployment processes.
• Support clients in designing, developing, and protecting modern applications and infrastructures across AI, web, APIs, and cloud environments.
• Identify security risks in existing applications, cloud configurations, and infrastructure, deriving concrete remediation measures.
• Conduct security-focused code reviews and establish best practices for secure software development.
• Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and secrets management mechanisms, and integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate holds a degree with good to very good results in computer science, business information systems, IT security, or a comparable qualification. Applicants should have solid programming knowledge in languages such as Java, Python, TypeScript, or Go, alongside familiarity with cloud infrastructures, container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and version control with Git. A strong understanding of common vulnerabilities like the OWASP Top 10, clean code principles, and DevSecOps approaches is expected. Candidates must communicate confidently in both German and English, as the role involves client interaction and working within a consulting environment.
