Director, Portfolio Management (Mozilla.org)

Mozilla is currently hiring for a Director, Portfolio Management to join their team in the USA in a senior management capacity. Operating within the Mozilla Management Company and reporting directly to the COO, this hands-on role sits at the intersection of portfolio planning, governance, performance management, and cross-organizational execution.

Mozilla.org serves as a steward for a mission-driven portfolio that includes the Mozilla Foundation, Mozilla Corporation, MZLA, Mozilla Ventures, Mozilla.ai, and the Mozilla Data Collective. Over the coming years, the organization aims to actively grow this portfolio by supporting existing entities and investing in new ones that extend Mozilla's reach and financial value. Candidates applying for this role must have 10+ years of experience, with a primary or matric education requirement. The salary range for this position is $240,000–$280,000.

Core Responsibilities

• Portfolio Planning & Performance: Lead the planning process by integrating strategies, operating plans, capital requirements, and double bottom line goal setting, while developing dashboards and scorecards.
• Portfolio Governance: Maintain and evolve operating frameworks, decision rights, authority matrices, and playbooks to optimize how Mozilla.org and its portfolio organizations collaborate.
• Cross-Portfolio Execution: Lead high-priority initiatives spanning multiple Mozilla organizations, establishing clear workstreams, owners, milestones, and delivery cadences.
• Leadership Support: Act as a strategic and operational partner to the COO and the broader Mozilla.org leadership team.
