Distribusion Technologies is seeking a Senior Level Engineering Manager to lead our Search team in Berlin. As the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace, we connect bus, rail, and ferry operators across 70+ countries with major online retailers like Google Maps and Booking.com. Following our recent $80m Series C funding, we are looking for a hands-on leader to guide our platform through its next phase of growth.
In this role, you will lead an experienced team responsible for the main API product that enables retailers to purchase tickets from carriers worldwide. This is a high-throughput, low-latency environment where performance and cost-efficiency are paramount. Your primary challenge will be strategic and technical: we need you to prepare our architecture for 10x growth while ensuring our infrastructure and storage costs do not scale exponentially.
We require a candidate with 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree. You are a people leader who has successfully supported senior engineering teams, and you still identify as an Engineer at heart. You possess a proven track record in building and scaling high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems. You should have strong programming experience in any modern backend language and be willing to work with Rust or Go. Fluent English communication skills are essential. This position is based in Berlin, with hybrid and remote-friendly options available as part of our remote-first culture.
