1KOMMA5° is working toward a vision of transitioning 1.5 million households to renewable energy by 2030, integrating solar, batteries, heat pumps, and e-mobility into a single, intelligent virtual power plant. Based in Berlin, our engineering team is looking for a (Lead/Senior) Technical Product Manager for Platform Engineering to help us scale these systems by improving how our internal teams build and deploy software.

In this senior individual contributor role, you will lead the product strategy for our internal developer platforms. Rather than managing people, you will influence the technical direction, product strategy, and adoption across the engineering organization. You will partner with our Developer Platform & Security teams to transform complex infrastructure into intuitive tools that developers and AI agents can use effectively.

Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas

• Platform-as-Product: Treat internal capabilities as products, utilizing user research, discovery, and adoption data to address the actual challenges our builders face.
• Strategic Leadership: Own the roadmap for internal platform products, balancing speed, security, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• Stakeholder Management: Communicate technical initiatives and success metrics—such as Change Lead Time and MTTD/MTTR—to both engineering leads and C-level stakeholders.
• Tooling and AI Enablement: Help shape the guardrails and context layers that allow both human engineers and AI agents to release software safely.
• Internal Evangelism: Drive adoption by communicating complex technical products in a clear, compelling manner across the organization.

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree and have 5+ years of relevant experience in Product Management or Technical Product Management for technical products. You should possess the technical depth to reason about cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and software delivery trade-offs. We work with technologies including Google Cloud Platform, Vercel, Terraform/Terramate, GitHub Actions, Backstage, and agentic workflows using Cursor and MCP. Excellent English communication skills are required; German language skills are considered a plus.
