Senior Engineering Manager, Supply Domain (Berlin)

Distribusion Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Supply Domain in Berlin. As the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace, we operate a B2B technology platform connecting bus, rail, and ferry operators in over 70 countries with major online retailers like Google Maps and Booking.com. Following our recent $80m Series C funding, we are looking for a hands-on leader to help us scale our integration capabilities and accelerate feature delivery.

The Supply Domain is an engineering organization of approximately 30 people. You will be responsible for the end-to-end engineering and delivery standards within this domain, ensuring we meet our product goals without needing to linearly increase headcount. We need a leader who can navigate technical unknowns, manage risk, and drive architectural design while fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Leadership and Technical Expectations

• People Leadership: Manage, grow, and develop our engineering teams. This includes hiring, driving engagement, and managing performance with a pragmatic approach.
• Strategic Execution: Partner with Technical Program Management (TPM) teams to drive integration efficiency and ensure on-time product launches.
• Technical Depth: While your role is leadership-focused, you must be a well-rounded engineer capable of addressing technical issues directly. You will be working with a stack that includes Ruby, Python, Google Cloud, Kafka, and Redis within a distributed microservices architecture.
• Growth: We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree. You should be an experienced people leader who has guided organizational growth and managed other people leaders in the past.
