We started in 2014 delivering restaurant food around one city. Now we deliver pretty much everything, in over 500 cities across 30 countries, and since 2022 we've been part of the DoorDash family, still pushing to grow further.

The Role

Millions of people use what we build, every single day. None of that works without a solid engineering foundation underneath it — and that's what this role is about.

We're hiring experienced Android engineers who care about more than just shipping the next feature. People who want to build scalable mobile foundations, make the developer experience genuinely better, push engineering quality up across the org, and help other engineers do their best work.

We're also changing how we build software in the first place. AI is becoming a real part of our day-to-day engineering, and we're specifically looking for people who are curious about that — not just people who use AI to write code faster, but people who think about what it actually changes.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be helping shape the foundations product teams rely on to ship good mobile experiences at scale. What that actually looks like day to day depends a lot on where your interests lie, but here's roughly the range:


Evolving our Android architecture, shared libraries, and platform capabilities
Making the developer experience better — through tooling, automation, workflows, whatever's actually broken
Working on app performance, reliability, and observability
Designing systems that let teams move fast without sacrificing quality
Working with engineers across different product teams on shared technical problems
Leading initiatives that raise the engineering bar org-wide
Figuring out how AI can genuinely help engineering workflows, not just add noise
Building the guardrails and tooling that make AI-assisted development actually reliable


If you like making other engineers more effective, care about long-term technical health more than short-term wins, and enjoy problems that don't stay contained to one team — this is that kind of role.

What We're Looking For

You don't need all of this, but most of it:


A solid track record building Android apps in Kotlin
Experience designing mobile architecture and shared platform components that actually scale
A good feel for the Android ecosystem and where modern development practices are headed
Hands-on time with CI/CD, automation, or developer tooling
Strong software design instincts and systems thinking
A history of working across teams and actually influencing technical decisions, not just proposing them
You're comfortable mentoring people and driving initiatives yourself
You can communicate well and manage stakeholders without it being painful


We'd love it even more if you:


Already use AI regularly in your own engineering work
Have played around with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini, Codex, Copilot, or similar
Are genuinely curious about agentic development and where AI-assisted engineering is going
Know the difference between trusting AI output and blindly trusting it — and can build workflows that reflect that


Bonus if you've touched Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), server-driven UI, experimentation frameworks, mobile observability, or large-scale consumer mobile platforms.

This one's based out of Helsinki or Stockholm.
