TechBiz Global GmbH is recruiting a Founding Engineering Team Lead for a senior-level engineering role in Berlin, Germany. This hands-on position requires coding roughly 70% of the time in GoLang while leading and growing a small, high-performing team. You will report directly to the CEO and CPTO, partnering with product leadership to own the engineering roadmap, set architectural direction, and build out the entire security platform setup from scratch.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, build, and review production backend and platform code alongside the team, contributing directly to critical features and integrations.
- Establish lightweight engineering processes, mentor engineers, and support hiring and onboarding.
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents, build PoCs, and support compliance readiness by enabling security controls and logging.
- Collaborate on technical execution, remove blockers across backend, frontend, data, and DevOps, and improve platform cost efficiency and reliability.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years leading engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
- 3+ years of experience with GoLang and AWS in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools like Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with Coding CoPilots, production SaaS platforms, and startup environments requiring a high-ownership mindset and fluent English communication skills.
