Lakebase Sales Specialist, Associate Director (Germany)

Databricks is currently seeking a Lakebase Sales Specialist, Associate Director to join their Sales team in Munich, Germany. This senior-level position places you at the forefront of operational databases for AI and intelligent applications at one of the fastest-growing data and AI companies in the world.

You will help customers modernize their operational data foundation with Databricks Lakebase, a fully-managed Postgres service designed to replace fragmented point databases with a unified, governed environment. Working closely with regional Account Executives and the broader account team, you will identify, qualify, and close revenue opportunities within a defined territory. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading key personas such as platform teams, developers, and central IT toward better outcomes, running complex multi-threaded sales cycles, and orchestrating proof-of-value POCs for OLTP-style workloads and AI-driven applications.

Sales Responsibilities and Competencies

Success in this role relies on balancing multiple operational motions, evaluated across four main dimensions:

• Business ownership: Track revenue, pipeline, and key metrics at a business-unit level.
• Strategic account engagement: Partner with account teams to drive strategic opportunities from initial engagement to close.
• Field enablement: Build and execute plans that empower Account Executives and Solution Architects to carry the Lakebase message.
• Market voice and thought leadership: Represent Databricks at events and contribute to global AMAs.

Candidate Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience
