People Ops Manager Job in the USA (Management)
Flex, the AI-native private bank for business owners scaling rapidly since September 2023, is seeking a senior-level People Ops Manager to join the team in the USA. Available locations include San Francisco, Miami, New York, or fully remote. This management role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 to 8 years of experience in people operations, HR operations, or as a people generalist in a high-growth startup or scale-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and improve core people operations processes across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
- Design, launch, and refine performance review cycles, calibration processes, and supporting documentation.
- Administer and improve people systems, workflows, and documentation across HRIS, payroll, benefits, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance and scalability across states, teams, and growth stages while managing employment documentation and policy administration.
- Partner with managers on employee relations, performance follow-up, organizational changes, and compensation/promotion cycle logistics.
- Track and report on key operational indicators, including headcount movements, review completion, and onboarding progress.
Candidate Requirements
- 5–8+ years of people operations or HR operations experience in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated background in building performance review processes and manager-facing people workflows.
- Solid grasp of employee lifecycle operations, compliance fundamentals, and people documentation best practices.
- Strong organizational skills, operational judgment, and the ability to introduce practical structure without overcomplicating workflows.
