Privacy Counsel (UK Remote)

HackerOne is seeking a Privacy Counsel to join our team in the UK. This senior-level legal role supports the growing volume of global data protection, AI governance, and commercial contracting needs across the business. As an individual contributor, you will work closely with our Product, Security, Compliance, Engineering, and Sales teams to provide practical, globally relevant privacy support as we continue to scale.

This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree. You will be expected to apply structured legal thinking to emerging technologies, ensuring that our AI-powered security platform continues to operate responsibly. This role is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys hands-on work and cross-functional collaboration.

Core Responsibilities

• Conducting global privacy assessments, including DPIAs, AI DPIAs, TIAs, and LIAs.
• Reviewing new product features and AI capabilities to ensure privacy-by-design.
• Drafting and negotiating data processing agreements (DPAs), privacy terms, and commercial contracts.
• Maintaining privacy contractual documentation, templates, and internal policies.
• Developing and delivering internal training programs on privacy topics.

We value an AI-first approach, using tools to improve drafting efficiency and assessment workflows. You will need to demonstrate agility in adapting to evolving global privacy regulations and use data-driven decision-making to ground your evaluations in evidence. The salary range for this role is £80,000 – £100,000.
