b2venture is seeking a Product Associate, Fund Finance (m/f/d) to join their Product & Tech team, based in Berlin or Munich. This role sits at the intersection of investment operations, product development, and data infrastructure. You will work to build an AI-native finance operating system designed to scale the firm's financial operations, including transactions, portfolio management, valuation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

You will take ownership of the technical workflows and automation tools that support b2venture’s investment activities, focusing on:

• Transaction support: Maintaining models for cap tables and waterfall scenarios, such as pro-rata and exit modeling.
• Accounting infrastructure: Designing reconciliation logic and data pipelines for fund- and group-level cash flows, while working with accounting platforms like Quantium.
• Portfolio and Valuation: Developing an audit-proof "single source of truth" for portfolio reporting and valuation calibration.
• Reporting and Compliance: Automating LP reporting templates and building repeatable processes for regulatory, tax, and audit workflows.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics, Finance (with a tech focus), Computer Science, or a related field. We are looking for candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience in finance automation, transaction management, or fund finance, gained within a VC/PE firm, investment company, Big 4 firm, or a scale-up’s operations team.

You must be a tech-savvy professional with strong Excel and financial modeling capabilities, alongside solid SQL and database fundamentals. Proficiency in using AI-assisted coding tools, such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, is required to rapidly prototype and deploy scalable solutions.
