StackAdapt is looking for a Mid Level Quality Engineer to join their engineering team on a remote basis anywhere in Canada. In this role, you will help shape software quality and test automation within a cross-functional agile environment, directly influencing product release success.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities
- Develop in-house automated and functional test scripts covering API, UI, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Collaborate with Platform, Product, and DevOps teams to execute automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Share timely test results with the QA team, Platform Team, and other stakeholders.
- Engage in technical planning, code reviews, and architectural decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree.
- 2+ years of professional test automation experience using API and UI frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, Jest, or Junit.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
- Understanding of scalable system design for web APIs and backend processing.
- Experience with QA methodologies, test case management tools like TestRail, relational databases, and SQL querying.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this Canada-based position is $84,000 CAD (with a broader salary band extending up to $115,500 CAD depending on experience and qualifications).
