Senior Backend Engineer

Peec AI in Berlin is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for their IT team to build and own the data plane for AI visibility. In this senior role, you will manage millions of chats, scrapes, citations, and model responses, improving the reliability, speed, and cost-efficiency of our infrastructure.

Requirements and Technical Background

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of backend, platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems engineering experience in production.
• Deep hands-on TypeScript experience, working with our stack running services on Bun.
• Strong understanding of queues, workers, retries, rate limits, idempotency, distributed locks, webhooks, and failure handling.
• Experience operating systems under real production pressure and cloud-native infrastructure including GCP, Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis, and ClickHouse.

This senior level position includes a salary range of €100,000 to €150,000 alongside an aggressive equity compensation package. You will work from a beautiful office space in Berlin with regular team events and off-sites, plus paid dinner and an Uber home when working late.
