Aer Group is hiring a (Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/f/x) for an IT role based in Berlin Boppstr. This senior-level position requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, a STEM subject, or equivalent experience gained through several years on the job, along with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
Responsibilities for the (Senior) DevOps Engineer in Berlin
- Take end-to-end responsibility for infrastructure and DevOps processes, covering Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, databases, and security.
- Operate and expand Kubernetes clusters, manage Docker-based container solutions, and onboard development teams.
- Maintain and develop the GitLab environment, including pipelines, runners, and GitOps-based delivery using ArgoCD or Flux.
- Automate infrastructure and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible.
- Handle database systems, set up observability stacks like ELK, TIG, and Grafana Alloy, and perform network diagnostics.
- Implement application and infrastructure security checks, including SAST, dependency scanning, and secrets detection.
Requirements and Candidate Profile
- Degree in computer science, a STEM subject, or equivalent professional background.
- At least 3 years of hands-on production Kubernetes experience and container technologies.
- Strong Linux skills and solid networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, and TLS with proven troubleshooting abilities.
- Practical experience with GitLab CI/CD, GitOps tooling, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Collaborative mindset with strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach.
- English is spoken during the day.
