Senior DevOps Lead

LivePerson is seeking a senior-level Senior DevOps Lead for an IT role based in Germany, with a fully remote work arrangement (#LI-Remote). In this position within the Observability Platform team, you will lead logging and monitoring initiatives to build scalable observability solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Senior DevOps Lead Responsibilities in Germany

You will design, implement, and improve observability platforms covering logs, metrics, traces, alerting, and synthetic monitoring. Your daily work involves managing large-scale telemetry data pipelines and Kubernetes-based observability services using tools like Elastic Cloud, Loki, Grafana Labs, Prometheus, Kafka, Docker, and Helm. You will also define observability standards for engineering users, partner with cross-functional teams, and build an end-to-end Synthetic Monitoring platform running on GCP Spot VMs while providing technical leadership and mentorship.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, software engineering, or a related discipline with a cloud engineering background.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Proficiency with observability stacks including Grafana Labs, ELK, Prometheus, Zabbix, and Kafka.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and programming or scripting languages like Go, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry Collector and Grafana Agent is preferred.
