Senior Electrical Engineer

Lunar Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer based in the London office to join the UK Customer Support and Engineering team. This senior level engineering role focuses on transitioning homes to 100 percent clean energy through hands-on site visits, hardware maintenance, lab planning, and subcontractor quality management.

Key Responsibilities for the UK Engineering Role

• Lead on-the-road hardware maintenance, manage company vehicle responsibilities, and direct electrical planning for the lab and rooftop solar setup alongside the Test Engineer.
• Maintain safety and quality standards, conduct inspections, and develop a new auditing process for the subcontractor network.
• Work toward NICEIC or NAPIT accreditation to sign off on completed work and notify relevant bodies.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Team to test and design installation processes for new products.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates must possess intermediate education, a minimum of 5 years of electrical installation experience, and at least 2 years of experience as a qualified supervisor with an awarding organization such as NICEIC or NAPIT. Required technical competencies include work with 3-phase systems, Solar PV systems, EVCP installations, AC and DC wiring, battery storage, and communication systems including RS485.

Required certifications feature a JIB Gold Card, City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent), City & Guilds 2382-26 Wiring Regulations, and City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing, alongside an active CPD log and familiarity with MCS standards, RAMS, G98/99/100 requirements, and CRM software.
