Senior Engineering Manager, Infrastructure (all genders)

Distribusion Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager, Infrastructure to lead the teams responsible for the foundational systems powering the company's ground transportation marketplace. This remote and engineering-focused senior level role plays a vital part in scaling the technical infrastructure as the company prepares for significant future growth following an $80m Series C funding round.

Leading Infrastructure and Engineering Operations

In this remote engineering position, you will oversee Platform Engineering, IT, and Information Security, acting as a bridge between technical infrastructure and the broader business. Your responsibilities include professionalising the tech stack, driving complex vendor negotiations, tracking infrastructure and project costs, and building transparent roadmaps. You will grow and support multidisciplinary teams, helping define strategy, drive execution, and raise operational excellence across cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, internal IT, and security.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• 5+ years of experience leading and developing engineering teams in high-growth technology environments
• Strong technical background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, or Information Security
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and balancing strategic initiatives with operational priorities
• Understanding of modern cloud-native architectures, infrastructure automation, observability, and security best practices
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

While the role is remote, the company is mainly looking for candidates to be based in Germany, preferably in their Berlin headquarters where they operate on a hybrid model. Salary details are market competitive. Preferred qualifications include experience leading Platform Engineering, Internal IT, and Information Security functions, familiarity with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR, and experience supporting global operations.
