Q Energy is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst (m/w/d) for its finance team in Köln. This senior-level position focuses on driving M&A transactions within the German onshore wind sector, shaping investment strategies, and evaluating potential market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with investment managers to refine investment strategies and identify new market opportunities.
• Source and execute M&A transactions in the German onshore wind sector.
• Coordinate business origination, conduct market research, and build relationships with developers and advisors.
• Manage financial modeling across the full deal lifecycle, including valuations, scenario analyses, and due diligence support.
• Prepare investment proposals and business cases for the executive management and investment committees.
• Partner with internal legal, finance, and technical departments to ensure smooth transaction execution.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must hold a relevant university degree, ideally a Master’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field. Candidates should bring at least 2 years of experience as an investment analyst or associate, preferably backed by background knowledge in renewable energies and M&A transactions. Strong financial modeling expertise, excellent organizational skills, and fluency in both English and German are required for this role.
