(Senior) Investment Analyst (m/w/d) in Köln – Finance Role at Q Energy
Q Energy is seeking a (Senior) Investment Analyst (m/w/d) for its Finance team in Köln. This senior-level position focuses on the German onshore wind sector, where you will help shape investment strategies, identify market opportunities, and drive M&A transactions from origination to close.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with investment managers to refine investment strategies and evaluate potential targets.
- Manage deal sourcing, market research, and relationship-building with developers, advisors, and stakeholders.
- Lead financial modeling across the deal lifecycle, including scenario analyses, valuations, and sensitivity checks.
- Coordinate financial, legal, and technical due diligence while supporting the investment team with business cases and executive presentations.
- Partner with internal legal, finance, and technical departments to ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Monitor renewable energy trends, regulations, and market dynamics through ongoing industry research.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A completed university degree (Bachelor or Master) in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience as an investment analyst or associate, ideally with a background in renewable energies and M&A.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, investment valuation, and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Fluent written and spoken skills in both English and German, paired with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
