Senior Java Fullstack Developer (m/w/d)

virtual7 GmbH is seeking a Senior Java Fullstack Developer (m/w/d) for its IT team in Hamburg, Deutschland. Operating within the Customer Cluster Finance, this senior level role focuses on driving digitalization in the public sector by building high-performance applications from backend to frontend.

Your Mission and Tasks

In this Senior Java Fullstack Developer IT role, you will design and optimize software architecture and databases while ensuring software quality.

• Develop and advance backend components using Java, Java EE, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Build modern user interfaces with React, JSF (PrimeFaces), JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and XML.
• Conceive and implement SOAP and REST web services, and integrate Elastic Search functionality.
• Design, optimize, and tune Oracle databases utilizing SQL and PL/SQL.
• Manage source code with GIT, automate builds with Jenkins and Maven, and configure applications on JBoss, Oracle Application Server, and Apache Tomcat.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and possess at least 5 years of practical experience in Java, Java EE, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and XML. You will also need solid knowledge in SQL and PL/SQL, experience developing SOAP and REST web services, and familiarity with Spring, Hibernate, React, and JSF (PrimeFaces). Proficiency is required with tools such as Eclipse IDE, IntelliJ, SQL Developer, or PL/SQL Developer, along with experience using GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JBoss, Tomcat, and Oracle Application Server. Expertise in Oracle database design, optimization, and Elastic Search is essential. Applicants must have very good German language skills at C1 level and conversational English, alongside a willingness for regular on-site meetings despite an 80% remote work share.
