Senior Manager, Data Strategy & Analytics

Happy Money is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Strategy & Analytics for a remote, senior-level Management position within our Risk/Credit team in the USA. This full-time remote role comes with a salary of $145,000. As a strategic analytics partner, you will translate complex data into actionable insights for Credit, Operations, Marketing, Product, and Finance, working within a modern cloud-based environment to build dashboards, develop analytical models, and uncover trends.

Key Responsibilities for the Data Strategy & Analytics Role

• Develop and automate analytical workflows using Python and/or R with code managed through GitHub.
• Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports providing visibility into key business metrics.
• Partner with Data Engineering to build and refine data workflows in Databricks.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and present findings with clear recommendations to leadership.
• Monitor data quality, identify metric anomalies, and document analytical methodologies to optimize processes.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree and bring 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, preferably within FinTech or financial services. Necessary technical qualifications include strong SQL skills for cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, proficiency in Tableau, working knowledge of Python and/or R, familiarity with Databricks or Spark, and experience using Git/GitHub for version control. Candidates should also possess excellent communication skills and comfort operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. Bonus points are awarded for experience in consumer lending, credit risk modeling, personal loans, AI tools, dbt, or machine learning concepts.
