Senior Quality Engineer (Belo Horizonte)

LawnStarter is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer in Belo Horizonte to join their remote engineering team in Brazil. Offering a salary range of $45k to $65k, this senior-level engineering role involves owning the end-to-end testing strategy as the department scales.

Operating a shared platform spanning three home service brands with annual bookings exceeding $100M, LawnStarter is actively expanding into new service verticals, dynamic pricing, and AI-driven features.

Engineering Role and Technical Focus

This is an embedded position reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will work directly with product, design, and data teams to catch risks early and build quality in from the start. The technology stack utilizes PHP/Laravel on the backend, React and React Native on the frontend, and Cypress for testing, alongside AI tools like Claude Code for daily workflows and test maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and grow the E2E and integration test suite using Cypress.
• Manage the bug process completely from triage through to production fixes.
• Participate in cross-functional requirement reviews with PMs, Designers, and Data to flag risks and define completion standards.
• Improve overall software shipping processes and conduct hands-on exploratory testing across web and mobile devices.
