Senior Sales Engineer, Enterprise - German Speaking

Fivetran is seeking a German-speaking Senior Sales Engineer, Enterprise to join our remote sales team in the United Kingdom. In this senior-level role, you will help enterprise customers build the modern data stack by showcasing our automated data replication solutions, guiding proof-of-value processes, and providing crucial technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities and Core Technologies

You will collaborate closely with sales representatives and cross-functional teams to understand complex customer use cases, deliver technical presentations, and resolve advanced technical roadblocks. Your day-to-day work will involve leveraging technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Python, Java, Linux, and Windows.

Candidate Requirements

• Native or professional proficiency in German
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in data replication, sales engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong technical background in database replication, cloud infrastructure, and databases including Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL
• Familiarity with modern data analytics technologies like cloud data warehouses, BI tools, and ETL tools
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills

Additional background in self-hosted software, cloud and on-premise networking, Docker, Kubernetes, dbt, security posture, or partner relationships is considered a bonus.
