Senior System Engineer / Infrastructure Specialist (m/w/d) Engineering in Hamburg
Webgo GmbH is seeking a Senior System Engineer / Infrastructure Specialist (m/w/d) for a senior-level engineering role based in Hamburg. This permanent position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a webhosting environment.
Core Responsibilities and Technical Environment
- Take operational responsibility for the entire server landscape, including shared hosting systems (Linux Debian / Apache), vServers, and dedicated servers.
- Drive configuration management, system setup, and expansion using Ansible and Docker.
- Manage ICINGA2 monitoring, set up Proxmox virtualization, and ensure high availability and security for mailserver architectures such as Postfix, Dovecot, and Proxmox Mail Gateway.
- Handle routine maintenance, proactive patch management, and security updates while organizing technical tasks and projects through Jira.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive, multi-year professional background in high-availability hosting architectures.
- Deep hands-on expertise with ICINGA2, Proxmox virtualization, and Ansible automation.
- Senior-level command of Debian-based Linux distributions and solid foundational knowledge of networking and routing technologies.
- Negotiation-ready German language skills for internal team communication alongside good technical English proficiency.
- High reliability, a strong sense of personal responsibility, and adaptability to new technical challenges.
