Speechify is hiring a Senior Level Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition for its IT team in Frankfurt, Germany. Speechify builds text-to-speech products used by over 50 million people, turning documents and websites into audio to help users read faster and remember more. Role Responsibilities
- Find new sources of audio data and integrate them into the ingestion pipeline.
- Operate and extend cloud infrastructure on GCP, managed with Terraform.
- Collaborate with AI scientists to optimize data cost, throughput, and quality at scale.
- Help shape the AI team's dataset roadmap for consumer and enterprise products.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of software development industry experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux, Bash, Python, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Professional background using at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred).
- Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
