Speechify is hiring an Entry Level Software Engineer, Platform for its IT team in Munich, Germany. Speechify builds text-to-speech products used by over 50 million people to turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. Role Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS APIs and internal APIs for payment, subscription, auth, and consumption tracking.
- Oversee, enhance, and optimize the full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients.
- Align backend architecture with overall product strategy through cross-functional teamwork.
Requirements
- Education required: PhD or Specialized Diploma.
- Experience required: 0 to 2 years.
- Proven backend development experience using TS/Node.
- Direct experience with GCP, alongside knowledge of cloud providers like AWS or Azure.
- Efficient ideation, implementation, and task prioritization based on urgency and impact.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Docker, containerized deployments, and proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
Compensation and Application
The Germany-based salary range for this Software Engineer, Platform role is 30,000 to 120,000 USD per year, plus bonus and stock depending on experience.
