Senior Director, Assistant Controller in the USA

LaunchDarkly is looking for a Senior Director, Assistant Controller to lead and scale its global accounting organization from the United States. This senior management role offers a salary range of $214,800 to $295,350 and requires a bachelor's degree.

Role Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience combining Big 4 public accounting and industry leadership in a multi-entity, public-company SOX environment
• Hands-on systems orientation with experience improving ERP workflows, reporting, and automation, including NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, foreign currency accounting, internal controls, financial reporting requirements, and close processes

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Director, Assistant Controller will partner with the Controller to manage the global accounting function, oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities also include leading core accounting operations across general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and equity administration, as well as handling technical accounting, US GAAP and IFRS subject matter expertise, and external audit coordination. Additionally, this position drives internal controls, SOX readiness, workflow improvements, systems optimization, and AI automation while mentoring the accounting team.
