UnternehmerTUM gGmbH is hiring for an IT internship position based in München Kreativquartier. This role places you within UVC Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm managing a €250 million fourth fund generation and investing in seed and Series A B2B startups across Europe.

Role and Research Focus

You will work alongside investors, AI researchers, and engineers at the intersection of applied research and venture capital. The position involves taking a research question from literature to a working prototype and presenting findings to investment decision-makers. Research directions can be shaped around your background, including work with Graph Neural Networks on graph-structured databases, Program-aided Language Models for financial data processing, or Bayesian Updating for iterative investment views.

Candidate Requirements

• Enrollment in a Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field at a top university.
• Familiarity or the ambition to build depth in toolkits such as graph ML, graph databases, LLM tooling, or probabilistic modeling.
• Strong machine learning and statistics fundamentals with clean, modular Python coding skills.
• Practical judgment regarding AI-assisted coding tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on self-directed projects.
• Fluent English proficiency for daily work, writing, and presentations; German is helpful but not required.
